Rico Picante, Smoky Chilli Sauce

Post by ronniedeb »

This sauce is one of a range of sauces from a UK company started by a Peruvian Brother and Sister. It is made with dried Aji Panca and Fresh Aji Amarillo, as well as Vinegar, Vegetable Oil, Water, Onion, Garlic, Salt, Black Pepper, and Citric Acid. It is a mild sauce, and although it has a deep, earthy flavour, it does not have a particularly strong taste of chilli. That could of course be because of the varieties of pepper used, neither of which I've tasted before.

I had it with some goats cheese and it was pretty good.
