Chenzo (C.annum)

Aesthetics and cultivation notes:

Compact easy growing with copious purple/black chillies (patchy green to begin) up to about 2inches long - at its best this plant looked distinctly gothic covered in black vampire teeth. Reportedly the plant takes low temperatures. An early and long cropper.

Tasting notes:

Modest heat. I didn’t find the flavour very complex esp. at the black stage but absolutely nothing I could fault beyond that. Performing better when picked ripe red where the flavour is clean and some sweetness develops. So perhaps not outstanding for me but a very decent plant overall.

I found the same thing, plant was early to fruit and quite prolific, taste was ok but nothing special. As it's an F1 hybrid, no point saving my own seeds and I won't be buying any more as there are lots of others I want to try.
