MADDOGHYDRO (LED review)

Post by maddoghydro » Mon Jun 03, 2013 8:46 pm

ive took the plunge and desided to grow this year under LEDS. and a friend of mine bought nto my attention these little darlings

Image

these are off ebay and the specs are power:2.2W
socket:E27
input:AC/100-245V

i had to wait a month though as i ordered 4 of these and they do come the otherside of the earth....but well worh the wait...these bulbs where a bid and NOT buy now so i got them from £6 and best of all FREE delivery.

i decided to buy a 4way splitter to run these and again ebay for £9
Image

each socket takes a maxium of 125W bulbs so if the user decided to use CFL daylight thats 500W of light.
but im sticking with LEDS at the mo because there doing very well indeed

sorry for the dodgy cam work but you can still see how bright these are

this is my gusto green in pot-ponics under these

thanks for reading

Superb thanks for sharing :0) will look at this option for extra lighting for next year ! Have a LED V CFL comparison myself then.

Hi MADDOGHYDRO,

How many plants do you have in your grow tent with the 4 led bulbs i must say the bulbs look good i want to build a 2ft x 2ft makeshift prob with either a wooden fram and reflective sheeting taped around it, could you send a link where you got the bulbs and the splitter from i was considering getting a t5 light but am tempted by these it's only to give the plants a really good start are the bulbs for veg growth only or flowering and fruiting stage as well just curious.

cheers :)
