Seedbank Closed

Post by Heefy » Mon Feb 17, 2014 5:21 pm

I have the pleasure to open the slightly updated Seedbank. This is independent from Chillies Galore and in no way associated with that business or persons.

http://chilliseedbank.tumblr.com

You will need a password, which is case sensitive and freely obtainable from me by PM.

There is a lot of work left to do, but it works at a bare bones level.

Make the most of this resource and also give a little back for others.

Thanks

Heefy

It's not a stupid question at all. I will PM you a password, which you can enter at http://chilliseedbank.tumblr.com

All the instructions are there on the 'How Does It Work' page. All the page links are on the right hand side of the CSB site.

Work out if you need anything from the Seedbank and if you do enclose the Carolina Reaper seeds in the envelope to me with a list of what you need, baggies, and a SAE. If not just post them to me and I will add them to the Seedbank. They will be very well received. PM me for the address or email chilliseeds (at) yahoo.com.

Thanks very much.

The seed bank is how it works? You distribute seeds or receive them?

Both. People send me left over and harvested seeds for others to share. I sort them and then distribute them as people request them.

The seeds are grown out and the fruits harvested for seed and then normally even more seed is returned to the bank, so even more people may benefit.

To prevent people introducing themselves, and quickly requesting a quantity of popular varieties, then never hearing from them again, I ask that they, contribute to the forum community, by making several posts or replies to topics, and if possible, start a Grow Log.

Please understand these suggested rules are to protect a very generous growing community.

It would be great to hear more from you. Maybe about your previous grows or your plans for this year. It may be that English is not your first language, but you are not alone, many members are in the same situation.

Good luck and I hope I answered the question. I can see that you have introduced yourself, in a post already. Great start.

I know you use a translation tool, so hopefully the above, makes sense.

the reason you can't pm is you've only been a member for less than a day, you need so many posts before you can use the pm.

Hi, Im new to the forum and would like to participate in the seed bank but i'm not allowed to PM yet. Could someone send me the password please ? I have been growing Chillis (for personal use ) for the past 7 years. I have quite a few seeds I managed to get from Spain last year and I have no idea what they are ! I grew a number of them this year. I have called them by location ! The Indian (given to me from an Indian restaurant), the Italian and Carlos (Carlos bar, he grows them in the bar!). The Carlos ones start off purple (numex twighlight ?). Anyway I have harvested quite a few seeds and would like to donate for others to try as I only have a cold frame and conservatory so don't always get the best results. I also have quite a few Cherry Bomb, Paper Lantern, orange hab and Scorpion butch T (think thats right) if anyone is up for swapsies :o)
Thanks all, great forum
