What a plonker I am!

Post by basilcat » Thu Nov 05, 2015 2:59 pm

Sorry administrators for being a naughty Chilliqueen. I have come back to Chillis Galore after a long break because I am very keen to get a few hot chilli seeds from somebody who has more than they need. In the past I have posted seeds myself to as far away as Australia!
I grew a Pinochio's nose a few years ago that was over 11 inches long and Mat Simpson gave me a copy of his book as a prize!! 8) I had a whale of a time when was on the forums before and hope to again.

It is a very busy time of year for the Seedbank. Please bear with me. I get two or three requests, some days.

Private Messaging is also a tad problematic at the moment. If you are having problems contacting me. Please try the email address on the Seedbank site.

Thanks

There's a post in Chilli chat about cmpman1974.

Take a trawl around any of the chilli forums around the world and you'll see that name pop up time after time.

Take a step back in time to 2006. At that point the hottest pepper in the world was the Habanero Red Savina at 566,000 SHU

If you're requesting seeds from the seedbank and they are hotter than that, be aware that cmpman1974 is probably responsible in part for the seeds you want. He's played a key role in introducing superhot peppers to our global community and way more too.

cmpman1974 is Chris Phillips, a guy with a wife and daughter and, as of 4/11/15 a severe illness. Please take a look.

If Chris helped introduce the seeds you're getting for free from the seed bank, please consider making a donation to his wellbeing. Thank you. :P

I mucked up and changed a setting in the Seedbank tumblr page. The result was that the site was not visible. All sorted, sorry!

Big update with loads of varieties added.

Hi Heefy,
I am not sure how to, or if I can send P.M's yet but if you could send me the password for your seedbank that would be great....even if its just to have a look at how much different seeds you have.

cheers

Hi Heefy, Seems I haven't yet qualified to use PM. Could you send me the password for the Seedbank, please? Because I'm just starting I'd be a taker only, I'm afraid, so I trust that's OK meantime.

The Seedbank is open. I should have posted that weeks back! Ready to start receiving lots of diverse excess seed stocks.

If you feel you want to get involved, please get busy on the forum, enjoy and learn then visit the Seedbank Tumblr site. Oh one last thing. Don't forget to get the password from me first.

We (it is a joint effort) look forward to helping as many of you as possible.

Thanks

Heefy

Hi Heefy, I'm new to CG but had been planting chillies from 2009-2014. Was a member of firefoods chillie forum, which is now closed. I'm thinking of starting planting some chillies again but have nothing much to offer now. Had been maintaining a solitary 7 pot plant which decided this spring to die after 6-7 years.
I was wondering, does the Seedbank have goronong chilli, fatalii and arising gusano ? I'm planning to plant just these 3 type this year to get back on track with things. Absolutely love the aribibi (aka turtles claw) but would also like to try the fatalii and goronong. Just like the citrusy chillies with some additional heat.

Thx for the post, Heefy. What is the minimum post required before being allowed to PM ?
I'm just enjoying everyone's grow logs. Your grow list for this year is very impressive indeed.

You will need a password, which is case sensitive and freely obtainable from me by PM.

There is a lot of work left to do, but it works at a bare bones level.

Make the most of this resource and also give a little back for others.

Thanks

It's getting to that time of year. Ripe pods are starting to roll in!

If you are one of the lovely people sharing the love and posting seeds to the Seedbank, please remember I have changed address. I don't have a re-direct on the mail anymore, so stuff sent to the old address will likely be lost.

PM me if needs be for the new address.

Thanks again.
